When selecting a stand, there are some things to think about, even if you'll be placing something other than greenery atop your plant stand.
The stand should not detract nor compete with the beauty of the plant but should, in fact, enhance it.
There are so many options on the market in plant stands that it's now easier than ever to display your greenery in such a way that both the plants and the pedestals make a striking impression on your house guests.
You also need to think about the type of plant you will put on the stand. Stand size should be considered in comparison to the plant. You wouldn’t want a thin delicate plant to be completely overwhelmed by the large and bulky iron pedestal it's standing on. A heavy plant stand though, would perfectly complement a flowing plant like a fern or ivy.
Color is also important for decorative plant stands. When displaying a beautiful flowering plant, keep the colors of the blooms in mind. Complementary colors should be considered when buying a plant stand.
With plant stands, size matters. The top of the stand must be large enough to fit your plant's container. The container should be at least a little smaller than the top of the stand. This will make the presentation look better and make the stand more stable.
